Classic Swedish, Relaxation Massage
Swedish massage technique includes long, flowing strokes, kneading, friction, tapping, percussion, vibration of the tissue, shaking motions and rocking.  It can also include passive/assisted stretching and joint mobilizations.  The primary use of Classic Swedish Massage is for general relaxation and stress relief.

Myofascial, Deep Tissue Massage
Myofascial massage aims to release chronic patterns of tension and holding in the body through slow strokes and deep pressure.  With a focus on manipulation of the connective tissue (fascia), the aim is to provide lengthening, spreading, and separation of muscles from adjacent musculature.  This massage is more challenging to the body, as it provides a deeper level of work. Yet Myofascial Massage has relaxing qualities, and should only be performed at a level of pressure determined by you, the client.

Integration Massage
Integration massage is the use of any techniques available to me based on your aspirations and goals for the session - incorporating Swedish strokes with Myofascial Technique, Trigger Point Therapy, assisted stretching, etc.  It may also include work with the breath, structural assessment of the body/posture, and  other areas related to the interplay between body and mind.

Targeted/Therapeutic Massage
This is simply the use of any massage technique to target a specific area or areas of pain, based on your needs for pain management and/or healing from a previous injury, trauma, repetitive strain or other cause.

Pregnancy and Postpartum Massage
This is massage designed to address the many discomforts of pregnancy and after the birth. >>read more<<
